Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Behaviour Mentor at one of our client secondary schools in Stockport for an October start. This role is to provide specific behavioural support to pupils and therefore would be ideal for someone who has experience working within a school or education environment, and has experience of supporting children with challenging behaviour.
This full time role would involve day to day support, assisting students throughout their education so they can achieve the best possible results, life skills and opportunities for when they leave. It is a highly rewarding position and would be well suited to those nurturing and patient candidates who have a genuine passion to further the educational and social progress of children with behavioural difficulties.
Placing great value on their core purpose of supporting pupils to develop the skills, knowledge, attitudes and personal qualities which will enable them to flourish and succeed in a rapidly changing world, this school has a truly dedicated staff and a varied curriculum built around its values of respect, determination and aspiration. With a hugely supportive and passionate SEND department, this is a truly welcoming environment for you to take up the role of Behaviour Mentor. Located close to the A6 and M60, this school is also well serviced by public transport, so would be suitable for all commuting options.
Highlights of the role:
- Weekly pay through our PAYE scheme ranging from £300-£400 per week
- Regular CPD and training courses through Teaching Personnel
- Highly rewarding job role
Desirable criteria:
- Passion for education and for supporting young people
- Experience of working in a school-based environment, ideally with challenging behaviour
- Flexible working attitude
- Willingness to learn and undertake CPD courses
