Role: Behaviour Mentor - Full-time and Part-time Opportunities

Area: South Gloucestershire

Salary: £57-65 per day

Teaching Personnel work in partnership with an excellent school in the South Gloucestershire area that are seeking one-to-one support for a year 1 child. This is a vibrant and innovative school that is passionate about their community values, making this a really excellent school to work in. You will be supporting a student that has social, emotional and behavioural issues; the child struggles with confidence within the classroom and due to this can have outburst when not confident. The school requires a behaviour mentor who will work with the student on their social skills and confidence within the classroom and in turn allow the student to improve their behaviour. This school is seeking a behaviour mentor who is comfortable with challenging behaviour or has experience with behaviour or supporting young people on a 1:1 basis. You will be supporting the child inside and outside of the classroom with the aim of allowing the child to confidently and independently learn within the classroom. This role may also involve some general Teaching Assistant work supporting the class teacher with all lessons and all elements of the curriculum.

  • Experiences with working 1:1 or with challenging behaviour
  • Engaging and calming in order to keep the child focussed and calm throughout the day
