Behaviour Mentor

Join a vibrant secondary school in Manchester seeking to appoint a Behaviour Mentor on a full-time basis from March.

The successful Behaviour Mentor will work under the guidance of the SENCO and senior staff to implement interventions and programmes of work for disengaged students with a particular focus on students with social, emotional or mental health issues. (SEMH)

They will work with individual students to improve punctuality, levels of attendance and to ease the return to school following the Covid-19 school closures.

Additionally, they will deal with disruptive students in class and out of class to create a calm, working atmosphere and will aim to avoid disturbance and confrontation whilst applying the whole school expectations assertively and fairly.

This school is located just a short drive from the city centre and easily accessible via public transport links. The school has received positive feedback for overall effectiveness and continues to be one of the most oversubscribed schools in the area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
