Join an excellent secondary school in Tameside seeking to appoint a behaviour mentor on a full-time basis (8:30am – 3pm) until the end of the academic year.

The successful candidate will provide behaviour support to individual students under the direction of the class teacher and/or SENCO. They will be responsible for delivering educational programmes and activities, some of which may be outside of the classroom in the school SEN/inclusion unit. They will also provide academic and social support in class. This role will also involve supporting students with Special Educational Needs, specifically those with social emotional and mental health needs.

This popular secondary school is located in Tameside, just a short drive from the city centre. The school is smaller than average and has recently been refurbished resulting in excellent facilities throughout. In recent Ofsted reports, the school has been praised for good teaching and learning and attitudes to learning.

• Young people with behavioural difficulties
• Young people with Social and Emotional Mental Health needs (SEMH)
• Young people with variant learning difficulties e.g. Dyslexia or Dyspraxia
• Young people with Special Educational Needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
