Job Description 

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Behaviour Mentor to work 1:1 with a child with ADHD in the Central Derby area. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an OFSTED rated "good" primary school that prides themselves in creating an inclusive environment where individuals have the opportunity to thrive. This role will be full time starting in September, potentially running through the entire academic year if the placement is successful. 

Job Role:

  • Working 1:1 with a child diagnosed with ADHD and suspected ASC
  • Developing a good relationship with the student and staff
  • Keeping them on task and engaged during lessons
  • Managing potentially challenging behaviour
  • Providing detailed feedback throughout the day
  • Hours 08:30- 15:30, 5 days a week

Requirements:

  • Previous Teaching Assistant experience or Care experience desirable 
  • Experience working with ASC, MLD, SLD or physical disabilities
  • Resilient, enthusiastic and nurturing personality 
  • Taking initiative 
  • Be able to travel or live the Central Derby area 
  • Child Only DBS on the Update Service
  • Be able to provide two References
