One of our partnered secondary schools are currently looking to recruit a teacher of Maths to start from the beginning of May 2023. Prior experience of teaching across the AQA syllabus would be highly desirable. The successful applicant would need to have QTS either from a PGCE or a teacher training direct programme.

This role would be opened to a potential permanent contract through the school, you would initially be employed through teaching personnel on a temporary contract, then based on performance during the first two terms you will be offered a permanent contract after 20 working weeks.  

Maths Teacher Job Roles:

  • Full time Maths’ vacancy required
  • Option to progress onto a school-based contract for the successful applicant based on in school performance.
  • Maternity cover in the heart of a Stockport school.
  • Pay will be dependent upon a pay scale ranging between MPS1 – MPS6 (New pay scales will be adhered to.)

This mixed secondary school is at the heart of the local community, being situated in pleasant residential surroundings. The school prides itself on having a positive ethos and values top class education for all students. They are therefore looking for a Maths teacher who is able to teach high quality lessons. Being a highly regarded secondary school, students’ behaviour is considered very positive with students being engaged with school life.

The school is located in the heart of the Stockport area, making it very easy to commute to Maths teachers travelling by public transport or car. The school is close to the local train station as well as the local metrolink tram network which services the whole of Greater Manchester. For those Maths specialists travelling by car, the school is close to the M60 motorway networks and is set in very pleasant surroundings with a large on site secure car park.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
