Role: Behaviour Mentor
Location: South Gloucestershire
Salary: £57-£65
Teaching personnel is currently recruiting a behaviour mentor to support a key stage 2 child who has social, emotional issues (SEMH) and can be very challenging. This child can lash out and be verbally abusive as well as often trying to run away. This school requires 1:1 support for this child and need someone who can commit to this role and be reliable as the child has had a lot of inconsistency already. Your day will consist of 1:1 work outside the classroom as well as activities in the class in order to slowly build the child's confidence, social skills and improve behaviour within a larger setting.
The ideal candidate will be able to take instruction and work well with staff and students in order to effectively aid the teacher. The school require a behaviour mentor who is engaging, resilient, committed and enthusiastic. Any experience with challenging behaviour in children or adults would be valuable although not necessary.
