Behaviour Mentor – Primary School | Blackpool (FY1)
Location: Blackpool (FY1)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term-Time Only)
Start Date: November 2025
Pay: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

A mainstream primary school in Blackpool (FY1) is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with high-level behavioural needs and an active Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey.
Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you’ll work closely with one pupil, helping them to regulate emotions, engage positively in lessons, and build trusting relationships. You’ll be a key part of the school’s pastoral and inclusion team, working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent 1:1 support tailored to the child’s EHCP
- Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
- Encourage emotional resilience, social skills, and self-confidence
- Support academic engagement through personalised interventions
- Liaise with staff and parents to ensure a joined-up approach to support

- Understanding of EHCPs and safeguarding practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
