Autism Teaching Assistant - York

• 1:1 support for a child with Autism
• Part Time position; 4 days a week Monday to Friday
• Earn up to GBP71.25 per day!

The Job Role:

• To support a 7 year old pupil on a 1:1 basis with a diagnosis of Autism
• To help the student manage their emotions whilst in 'crisis' mode
• Offering general in classroom support within a mixed Year 2 and Year 3 class 
• Encouraging lesson participation
• To support the teacher with the delivery of the lessons; P-Scales and EYFS National Curriculum standard
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 0830-1600 timetable (supply contract)

The School:

• A Primary Special Educational Needs School based in west York
• Graded as 'Good' by OFSTED
• Average class sizes of 6-10, depending on the needs of the students
• All pupils attending have an Education Health Care Plan in place
• Part of a large Multi Academy Trust across York and North Yorkshire 
• Encourage and support the children to achieve their full potential
