Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an 'Outstanding' SEND school in Bedale who are seeking a teaching assistant on a full time basis, to commence as soon as possible working with students with Autism.
The role will involve working work Key Stage 3 and 4 students who have Autism of varying severity's; the students are in need of extra support and guidance primarily within their lesson times with behaviour support, class focus and learning techniques. The main aspect of the role will be helping the children to engage with their learning and supporting the class teacher as well as encouraging personal and social development whilst managing challenging behaviour in lesson time.
Ideally, the candidate will have experience working with Autism or other SEND; however the client school welcomes candidates with backgrounds in education, youth or social work. You will be passionate about improving the lives of young people and have a strong desire to work with SEND.
You will be supported by a specialist team of SEN recruitment consultants with education backgrounds through your application process and placement within this role. Teaching Personnel can offer support assistant's competitive pay rates of up to £65 per day. This role will be full time, and will be ongoing until the end of the academic year, however there is potential of a permanent contract to the right candidate and access to further work opportunities beyond this role.
