Are you passionate about helping SEN and young people? Do you have experience either in a professional capacity or in your personal life with SEN? Wanting to pursue a new career in education or maybe looking  at re-entering the sector? If any of these apply to you becoming a Teaching Assistant might be right for you!

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit Teaching Assistants for multiple SEN schools located around the Enfield area. SEN schools require a candidate to be flexible in the way they work being comfortable working in small classroom-based groups lead by a teacher and be willing to work 1:1 with students with varying needs.

A successful candidate will have a positive approach to the continuing learning and development of SEND students and have relevant experience with SEN whether this be personal or professional. Relevant experience can include things such as work with youth groups, volunteering, immediate family members with SEN needs and various other related experience will all be considered.

The role will be initially until the end of the academic year with the view of leading to a permanent position in the new academic year for the right person. The hours will be 8:30-3:30 Monday- Friday.

About the roles:

  • Full-time teaching assistant/learning support assistant for SEN schools.
  • Supporting students on a 1:1/small group basis or within the classroom
  • Immediate start
  • Supporting pupils across Key stages 1- 4
  • Competitive pay rates of £85-100 a day depending on experience/qualifications.

  • Control of your own diary/availability

Candidate requirements

  • Experience of working with children/young people either in a professional or personal capacity, or skills which are transferable to this role
  • Youth work or care work would also be considered as relevant experience.
  • Passionate about helping pupils on a 1-1 or small group basis.
  • TA qualifications desirable but not essential.
  • 2 references from most recent employers
  • Have or be willing to apply for a Child Workforce DBS
  • Driving License is preferred

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
