Help Shape Futures Through Specialist Education

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference every day?

Our specialist school is seeking an enthusiastic KS3 Teacher to join our committed team, supporting pupils with a range of additional learning needs. This is an opportunity to be part of a nurturing, child-centred environment where education goes far beyond the classroom, helping young people develop the confidence, independence, communication skills, and life skills they need to flourish.

Every achievement matters here. Whether it's academic progress, developing social skills, building resilience, or gaining independence, you'll play a pivotal role in helping our pupils realise their full potential.

About Our School

Our school provides specialist education for learners with a range of complex additional learning needs. We are proud of our inclusive and supportive culture, where every pupil is treated as an individual and encouraged to succeed at their own pace.

Through a holistic approach to education, wellbeing, and personal development, we create meaningful learning experiences that equip young people with the skills and confidence needed for life both inside and outside the classroom.

The Role

As a KS3 Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, families, and multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Develop and implement personalised learning approaches that support individual pupil outcomes.
  • Foster communication, emotional regulation, social development, and independence.
  • Monitor progress and celebrate achievement in all its forms.
  • Support pupils with their personal development and wellbeing needs.
  • Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and pupil reviews where appropriate.

As part of this role, there may be occasions where you are required to support pupils with elements of personal care, always maintaining dignity, respect, and promoting independence wherever possible. Full training and support will be provided.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching KS3 learners, ideally within an SEN, ALN, or specialist education setting.
  • Is passionate about inclusive education and helping every learner achieve success.
  • Demonstrates patience, resilience, empathy, and adaptability.
  • Has excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Can build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Experience supporting learners with autism, communication difficulties, complex learning needs, behavioural needs, or associated additional needs would be highly advantageous.

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to make a life-changing impact on young people and their families.
  • A highly supportive leadership team and collaborative working environment.
  • Ongoing professional development and specialist SEN training.
  • Access to a multidisciplinary team of education and therapeutic professionals.
  • A rewarding career where no two days are the same.
  • A culture that values innovation, wellbeing, and professional growth.

Why Join Us?

This is more than a teaching role. It is an opportunity to be part of a dedicated team that believes every young person deserves the chance to succeed, regardless of the challenges they face.

If you're an ambitious and caring educator who wants to inspire confidence, unlock potential, and help shape brighter futures, we'd love to hear from you.
