ASD 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, mainstream Primary, Bodmin, Cornwall.

The Learning Support Assistant Person Specification

We are looking for an enthusiastic LSA who has experience supporting SEN children. The right applicant will have the capacity to show genuine empathy and a very willing attitude. The school are hoping for applicants who are able to cultivate excellent networks of communicating with fellow teachers and the leadership team. The right applicant will have a real passion for education and a solid understanding of their specialist subject.

About the Role

In this Learning Support Assistant post you will be assisting with the learning of several students across the school who require additional support. You will be required to support in-class and through intervention groups. The supportive SEN team will provide ample support and training to help you adjust to your new role.

The School

This forward thinking primary school is found in Bodmin and offers a very supportive network in an around the School and the Academy in which it belongs. Although they are ideally looking for someone with all necessary experience, they will also offer any additional training required as part of the role.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
