ASC Teaching Assistant – Rochdale – Full Time
There is currently a vacancy for an ASC Teaching Assistant at a large school in Rochdale, the incoming Teaching Assistant must have experience working with Autism and other complex special needs, preferably within a secondary school environment. This is a full time position starting ASAP and will be ongoing until at least the end of the academic year (with the option to continue on a permanent basis).

Full time position as an ASC Teaching Assistant as well as working with other pupils with complex special needs

Working at a large secondary school in Rochdale graded ‘good’ by Ofsted

Earn between GBP55 and GBP70 a day, dependent on experience and responsibilities

Supporting pupils with complex special need on a 1:1 and small group basis

Extra development opportunities through Teaching Personnel’s CPD courses
This is excellent opportunity for an ASC Teaching assistant to join an Ofsted graded ‘good’ school in Rochdale and join a very supportive team. You will be required to support a number of identified pupils within the school and help them on a 1:1 and group basis with whatever additional needs they may have.

We do need applicants to have previously supported complex ASC in either education or a care setting, but psychology graduates with knowledge of autism and autism theories may also be considered” – Head of ASC resource
