ASC Teaching Assistant - Peterborough

A part-time, mornings only, 1:1 support position has just become available in a fantastic primary school located in Peterborough. The school are looking for applicants with experience supporting individuals with SEN as the role is to support a pupil with challenging behaviour and ASC - therefore prior experience is essential for this position.
The role itself is expected to last until the end of the academic year with the possibility of being extended further depending on the pupil's progression.
Ideal applicants are those with:
- Extensive experience supporting those with SEN - Including ASC, SEMH, MLD
- Safeguarding Training
- A drive to help others
- Experience working within a school environment supporting KS1/KS2 pupils
- Teaching Assistant Experience - Primary/Secondary
In your role you will be expected to actively contribute in class activities, as well as provide 1:1 support to the pupil and engage them in overall classroom activities.
