If you're a nurturing, reliable and committed individual who loves seeing children reach their full potential, this could be the perfect role for you!

✨ What's in it for you?

What will the role involve?

As a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll provide tailored support to a child throughout the school day, helping them access learning and feel confident, safe and included.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individualised support based on the child's educational and emotional needs.
  • Helping the child engage with classroom activities and achieve their learning goals.
  • Encouraging independence, positive behaviour and social interaction.
  • Building a trusting relationship with the child and acting as a positive role model.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the child receives the best possible support.
  • Creating a calm, encouraging and inclusive learning environment where the child can thrive.

Who are we looking for?

We're keen to hear from candidates who are:

  • Experienced in supporting children with SEN, ideally within a primary school setting.
  • Patient, caring and understanding, with a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
  • Reliable, proactive and committed to making a positive impact every day.
  • Confident in adapting their approach to suit a child's individual needs.
  • Strong communicators who enjoy working as part of a team.

Previous experience supporting children with additional needs is essential. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who understands that small steps forward can make a huge difference.

Ready to make a difference?

This is more than just a Teaching Assistant position — it's an opportunity to become an important part of a child's school journey, helping them feel supported, included and confident in their abilities.
