A school in Fulham is seeking a teaching assistant with experience of working with children with autism. There are a number of children with ASD within the school who will need daily support. This will include 1:1 mentoring, working with small groups and supporting some of the children within the main classroom. The children are spread between the KS1 and KS2. This mainstream primary school is well supported by staff, parents and governors with strong links in the community.
The successful candidate will have:
• Plenty of experience of working with children with ASD and preferably experience of working with children with other learning difficulties.
• Be flexible and be able to use your initiative
• Have a genuine passion for helping children with SEN
Being degree educated and possessing any additional educational, especially SEN, training is highly desirable.
