Teaching Personnel are supporting a two form entry primary school in the Gorton area of Manchester (M18) with recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full time basis. The school are looking for an experience practitioner to work in their Year 5 class supporting a child with severe ASC on a 1:1 basis. To be considered for this role, you will have a calm and approachable nature and will have experience working with children who display challenging behaviour.
The school are looking for a candidate who is able to build up a strong working relationship with the child to encourage positive progression at all times. A Team Teach qualification would be beneficial but isn't necessary as the training can be provided.
The role is to work in a 'GOOD' two form entry primary school. The head teacher and the governors of the school promote a 'encouraging environment to ensure 'all children achieve their best'. The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant with an optimistic attitude who will work as a positive role model to all children across the school at all times.
This full time teaching assistant role will start as soon as possible and will run up until the end of the academic year. The chance to work onto a school based contract may be possible for the right person.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
