Job description

Full time position for an SEN teacher commencing in September 2017. A special school in Bury are working in partnership with teaching personnel are currently looking to recruit a special needs teacher who has extensive experience of planning and delivering lessons to pupils with SEN.. Initially, the position is temporary from September- December 2017 however; there could be the opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.
The role will involve planning and delivering lessons to support and encourage the holistic develop-pent of pupils with SEN needs. Due to the specific needs of the pupils the ideal teacher will have a considerable amount of experience in supporting and encouraging the development of pupils with SEN. Ideally the teacher will have experience of working within a special school and have a firm understanding of how pupils with SEN can be encouraged to achieve the best possible educational outcomes.
The ideal teacher will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (ideal)
- Team- Training (can be provided)
- A considerable amount of experience working with pupils with SEN needs
- Experience working within a special needs setting (preferably a school)
- Experience of delivering targeted interventions
- An in-depth understanding of how to adapt lessons to assure that learning is accessible to pupils with SEN needs

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
