ASC Specialist
Teaching Personnel are working alongside a Secondary school in Salford who are currently recruiting for an ASC specialist.
Our client Secondary school have recently added an ASC provision to their school facilities in order to ensure support for specific pupils in a range of subjects.
- Full-time ASC Specialist required following the October half term break.
- Earn up to GBP300 per week, depending on previous experience.
- Work within an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ Secondary school.
- Working alongside class teachers supporting students aged 11-16.
- Any experience with SEN children in an educational setting is desirable.
Working as an ASC Specialist in our client school, you will be expected to:
- Work within a specialist ASC provision alongside supporting pupils within mainstream classrooms who are also on the autistic spectrum.
- Implement work programmes for individuals and groups of pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
- Assist the teacher in planning, managing and preparing resources.
- Promote positive behaviour management.
- Implement learning activities and teaching programmes and adjust these to suit specific pupils’ needs.
- Working 1:1 with identified pupils that require additional support due to their specific learning difficulties.
To be considered for this role experience working within an educational setting with children and young people who have SEN or behavioural difficulties is desirable. Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification is also greatly acknowledged for success in this role.
Located in the Salford area, the client school can be accessed via the M66, M60 and A56. For non drivers, there is a number of public transportation links meaning the school can be accessed from surrounding areas such as Bolton, Prestwich and central Manchester.
