ASC Level 2 Teaching Assistant

A 'Good' Primary school located within the Ince are is currently looking to appoint an experienced, hardworking Teaching Assistant to join their happy, successful school. As part of the role you will be supporting a child with autism in their KS1 setting.

A successful applicant should:

  • Be flexible
  • Be enthusiastic
  • Be passionate
  • Have strong communication skills and be able to wok as part of a team
  • Have expectations of what children can achieve and share an ambition, ensuring the very best of children and their families.
  • Have effective behaviour management techniques, been able to avoid and deescalate confrontational situations.
  • Preferably Team Teach trained
  • Have relevant of where you have supported ASC pupils

The child you would be assigned to requires someone who is patient and understanding and can be very challenging at times. Routine is key in their supportive plan, therefore being familiar with techniques such as visual timetabling and now and then behaviour techniques can be very useful. Also the child is very able, however requires additional support in order to keep them on task and to avoid the disruption of others learning time.

Because of these needs the person required needs to be someone who is very reliable and consistent, as well as needing to be someone who really does have a passion for making a difference and helping others succeed. All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
