Arts Graduates needed – Bury primary school
A large, inclusive primary school in the Bury (M26) area is currently looking for a learning support teaching assistant to work one-to-one and with small groups, providing classroom based support to children with Autism and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties. This role with be starting in September 2019 and will carry on until the end of the academic year.
The ideal candidate:
The school is looking to recruit a number of teaching assistants with degrees in Music, Drama and Art. The school has recently opened a nurture unit for pupils in the primary school going into crisis. They have found pupils using alternative and creative activities have had a therapeutic impact on the pupils who are struggling with social emotional mental heath needs.
You must be willing to provide help and support to children with Autism, Challenging Behaviour, Social and Emotional Mental Health and Learning Difficulties. The Head teacher is looking for graduated with knowledge of Music, Drama and Art and successful candidates should have previous experience working with young people.
This position is well suited for a creative, compassionate, caring and patient candidate with strong behaviour management, willing to develop their knowledge in the education and special needs sector. We highly recommend for graduates who are willing to make a career in education to apply.

This is a warm and inclusive, larger than average Bury (M26) primary school in the heart of Radcliffe’s local community. The schools community ethos focuses on pushing all children to reach their full potential and the Head teacher is looking for a teaching assistant to come in and promote the same school values.
