Art teacher Manchester

  • Earn £110 - £165 per day on supply initially
  • Opportunity to gain contracted post with school from September 2017

Are you a qualified Art teacher looking to secure long term work prior to the end of this academic year?

If so, our client school in Manchester have an exciting opportunity for any Art teachers looking to join an inclusive school with a respectful cohort.

- Ideally located off M60 motorway, accessible from surrounding LEAs

- May start date with post expected to continue until July 2017

- Payment in line with MPS/UPS for successful applicant (paid through weekly supply initially)

- Large modern secondary school with outstanding facilities across all departments

Our client school is a large, multicultural secondary with over 1200 students currently enrol. The school serves a diverse catchment area with the vast majority on roll from local areas such as Crumpsall, Blackley, Moston and Cheetham Hill. The school is ideally placed, a short drive from the M60 motorway and a 5 minute walk from the neighbouring Metrolink. Since the appointment of the new Head, the school has climbed attainment and progress rankings for the LEA, particularly within the core subjects along with Art. The incoming Art teacher will join a large department with a wealth of experience, so the incoming member of staff will be suitably supported transitioning into a new place of work.

The incoming Art teacher will be required to have specialised in a PGCE or relevant teaching based qualification specialising in Art, and be comfortable with the delivery and planning elements for both Key Stage 3 and 4. The school does serve a diverse catchment area so teachers with previous experience supporting EAL or working in a similar school will be highly desirable.
