Art & Technology Technician

Are you a versatile and practical individual with experience supporting creative and technical learning environments? We are seeking a dedicated Art & Technology Technician to provide day-to-day support across Art and Technology departments within a secondary school setting.

The successful candidate will assist with the preparation and maintenance of resources, equipment, and materials, ensuring specialist teaching areas are safe, organised, and fully operational. The role may involve supporting a range of subjects and environments, including art studios, workshops, food technology rooms, and other practical learning spaces.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing materials, equipment, and resources for lessons.
• Maintaining specialist equipment and ensuring it is safe and fit for use.
• Supporting staff and students in practical learning activities.
• Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as required.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Maintaining tidy, organised, and effective learning environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, a practical approach, and an interest in supporting creative and technical education.

Working Pattern: 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time plus additional days as required.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a technical, workshop, creative, or educational environment is desirable.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures within practical learning environments.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A flexible and proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
