We are seeking an Art or DT Teacher to work on a Part or Full time basis from January 2019

About the role

Teach the Art and Design Technology (Graphics) curriculum across the age and ability range

  • Accountable for the quality of teaching and learning and students' progress and attainment of timetabled classes and GCSE's.
  • Set high expectations for standards of teaching, learning, conduct and relationships, and model good practice
  • Plan and deliver engaging learning activities that are differentiated to meet the needs of all students, and that stretch and challenge students to achieve their potential
  • Mark students' work and homework in line with the Academy marking and feedback policy
  • Set and mark homework in line with the Academy homework policy
  • Responsible for a tutor group
  • Responsible for target setting, tracking, monitoring student progress and achievement of own classes
  • Full time or part time hours will be considered - please state in your application.

The position will initially be Through Teaching Personnel however a Permanent contract will be considered for the right candidate.

  • M1-M6 Dependant on experience

  • Good communication skills
  • Well organised and capable of organising equipment etc.
  • Ability to relate well to a wide range of people within the Academy's community
  • Cheerful disposition with a good sense of humour
  • Ability to prioritise jobs
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a small team
