Full-time Art and Design teacher required from September 2019 for a Secondary School in Bolton.

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a large Secondary School in Bolton aiding them in recruiting an Art and Design teacher for an immediate start.

If you are a passionate Art and Design teacher seeking a new challenge, then please see the following details for this exciting opportunity.

  • Full-time Art and Design Teacher position available from September 2019 until the end of the academic year (July 2020).
  • Teaching a full timetable across Key Stage 3 and GCSE and working alongside other staff members in the Art and Design department.
  • Both experienced and newly qualified Art and Design teachers are welcome to apply as relevant induction support will be provided.
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (£23,720 - £39,406).

Working as an Art and Design Teacher in our client Secondary school, responsibilities will include:

  • Support with the development of Schemes of Work in line with the National Curriculum for Art and Design.
  • Assessing and evaluating class work reporting back to Senior Teachers in order to take appropriate action to support pupils in meeting their aims and objectives.
  • Planning, preparing and delivering Art and Design lessons to meet the needs of students at various levels of learning.
  • Guiding pupils with challenging behaviour or learning difficulties and implement strategies to help manage this behaviour.

Application Requirements

  • Our client school does provide excellent behavioural support for their staff however; any experience with behaviour management training or any challenging behaviour will be highly valued.
  • Must hold QTS alongside subject specific qualifications within Art and Design or a transferrable subject.
  • Must have experience teaching KS3 or GCSE.

The school is based in Bolton and is accessible via both the M61 and A58 from areas such as Salford, Bury and central Manchester. For non-driver s, the school is accessible via several forms of public transport with direct links from the surrounding areas of Manchester.
