Are you a Geography teacher looking for a new role for January?

A secondary SEMH school for boys are looking for a Geography teacher to start in January. The students whose main special needs and barrier to learning is Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Difficulties aswell as Autism and ADHD.

All the pupils currently have a statement of SEN or are in the process of being statemented. Most have been permanently excluded, at least once, from mainstream schools and a few from other special schools. The students needs have become more complex and the school now provides for a wider range of needs, including A- typical Autism and Inobstructive Asperger's.

Qualifications Required:

• Qualified teacher status. *Education to degree level (or equivalent experience)

Qualifications Desired:

• Additional qualifications in working with pupils with special educational needs *To have experience of de-escalation or be prepared to undertake training in this

Personal qualities required:

• Must be able to build effective relationships with difficult children and young people. *Must be an approachable and caring personality with integrity. *Must have flexibility, strength of character and resilience. *Must be adaptable and willing to accept guidance and support.
