Job description

Youth Worker required to work with challenging pupils

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a 2 form entry Primary School who are looking to appoint a Youth Worker who is looking to transition into a teaching assistant role as soon as possible.

The School:

* 2 form entry

* Multi-cultural Primary School

* Hertfordshire

* Supportive Senior Leadership Team

* Career Progression

The Role:

* Support KS2 pupils who have behaviour difficulties

* Working 1:1 and with small groups

* Flexible timetable where you take pupils out of the classroom when required

* Report back to the Teacher and SENCO

What we are looking for:

* Someone with Youth Work experience ideally, however we are accepting applications from all backgrounds

* Degree qualified or courses related to working with children

* Ambitious, flexible and tenacious attitude

* Available full time

* Have a valid DBS or be willing to complete one asap

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
