One of our lovely partnership schools requires a Teaching Assistant with strong experience supporting foundation pupils with Special Educational Needs.
Due to these pupils having nearly 24 weeks out of educational it has led to the increase of behavioural episodes. These pupils require 1:1 and/or 1:2 support whilst both in the classroom and outside. They require a SEN Teaching Assistant to help reduce the amount of absconding and keep them on track with their learning.
We would like the successful candidate to have strong experience with ASC, ADHD and Absconding. Key training we look out for is MAPA, Team-Teach, Verbal De-escalation or SEND Level 1 and/or 2. Other training will be considered.
We are particularly keen to speak to experienced Nurture Support Assistants, SEN Teaching Assistants, EYFS Specialists and Foundation Learning Assistants.
Key requirements:
- Ability to support vulnerable and/or disadvantaged pupils
- Ability to support absconding pupils
- Relevant qualification – minimum NVQ Level 2
- Sound experience with Special Education Needs and EYFS/Reception
- X2 Contactable references
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (Registered with the DBS Update Service) – This can be purchased through TP if you do not currently have one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
