We are currently working closely with an SEN school in the Bolton whom are seeking Teaching Assistants to work 1:1 with a secondary child with Autism. This position perfect for someone who is patient, calm and has a passion for working with special needs.

The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of SEN, in particular ASD and have some experience working with these needs. This requires someone who is persistent within their role, using various strategies to calm any challenging behaviour. Someone that has experience Team Teach and PEC’s is desired, but not essential. The position requires someone who is adaptable within their role and has ability to explore the student’s interests in an educational setting. Ability to build a rapport with the student to ensure they are happy and can integrate as much as possible.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience working with adults or children with SEN including ASD. Experience working with students in a classroom setting would also be ideal but not essential.

This position is subject to vetting and safeguarding procedures including an interview and a full clear and enhanced DBS.
