1:1 Teaching Assistant – Junior School (Salisbury)
Full-Time | Term Time Only | £13.75 per hour

We are seeking a caring, committed, and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive junior school in Salisbury, working with pupils aged 7–11 years.

This full-time, term-time-only role involves providing dedicated support to a named child, working closely with them to meet the specific needs outlined in their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). You will play a key role in helping the child access the curriculum, develop socially and emotionally, and thrive within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored support to meet the individual needs of a pupil with an EHCP
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers and SEND staff
  • Support the pupil’s academic, emotional, and social development
  • Record and monitor progress in line with EHCP outcomes

About You:

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in a 1:1 capacity
  • A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • A good understanding of SEN and EHCP frameworks
  • Relevant qualifications or training desirable

Start Date: September
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
