Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a full time Learning Support Assistant to work on a one-to-one or two-to-one basis with pupils demonstrating a variety of complex behaviour and learning needs. The is based in Lymington and offers a residential education setting for pupils with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD), severe learning difficulties and associated challenging behaviour.

The school currently caters for pupils aged between 11-19 years of age and there is at this moment, 31 pupils attending (boys and girls). The school is particularly equipped to deal with the needs of variety of students both academically and with communication.

The school has been rated 'OUTSTANDING' by Ofsted, through the use of their innovative techniques and procedures to support the development of their pupils. These techniques include:

  • Speech and language therapy
  • Behaviour Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Psychiatry
  • Psychology

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working with children or adults with complex learning difficulties or challenging behaviour. In addition to this, hold additional qualifications or training which will be relevant to engaging and supporting vulnerable individuals.

The role will typically operate between 08.30 and 15.30, Monday to Friday. This role is looking to become permanent, so applicants must be available long term.
