Learning Support Assistant needed Bury.

Working with a Year 2 pupil with SEMH and behavioural needs on a one to one basis in Bury

A Primary School in Whitefield, Bury (M45) require an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work with a pupil in one of their Year 2 class who has additional needs. The pupil has been identified as having behavioural needs, they are not aggressive but the pupil is easily distracted and requires one to one support to keep them focused and engaged with their learning.

You will be experienced supporting pupils with additional needs on a one to one basis in a mainstream Primary setting. As you will be closely supporting this pupil, you will need to have a good knowledge of the National Curriculum at Key Stage 1 level so that you can appropriately support the pupil to help bridge attainment gaps in Maths, Reading and Writing.

The school is a 1 form entry Primary School in the Whitefield area of Bury. You will be joining a well established and supportive Key Stage 1 Team, working closely with the class teacher to monitor pupil progress and development and identify next steps for progression.

The school are keen to meet people for trial days over the next few weeks. The role is full time and will be for the rest of the academic year with a view to go permanent. Please send an updated CV.
