**September Vacancy** Year 1 Teacher - Nelson Primary School

A Primary School in the historic town of Nelson, East Lancashire (BB9) have approached Teaching Personnel in order to source and appoint a Year 1 class teacher to take up a full time teaching role in KS1 for the NEW Academic year. The role is expected to be made permanent from December 2019.

The Head teacher has notified the agency on the following…'I am looking for a teacher who can come into the KS1 department and share GOOD and OUTSTANDING practice. We are clear in that we would like a practitioner who can come into school and hit the ground running, someone who wants to develop their teaching career and potentially move on to leadership/additional teaching and learning responsibilities'.

The school is located outside the main town centre in Nelson, and is easily commutable by train and car. With this said, there are a number of children in the school who come from a range of multi-cultural backgrounds and so this affects the development of language and communication skills. The majority of children who attend school are of Urdu & Punjabi heritage, with this in mind, experience working with children with EAL would be desirable. The Head teacher has commented that she would like to appoint a teacher who has worked closely with either the Read Write Inc. or the Letters and Sounds Phonics Scheme.

Pay = £100 - £160

Duration = Temp to perm
