Youth Worker required in Leyland

**Youth Worker/Support Assistant needed in the Leyland, Lancashire area**

Teaching Personnel work closely with a Leyland based SEN School which caters for KS1-4 pupils (ages 4-19 years old).

The School is larger than average for an SEN provision and the pupils in School have a range of special educational needs including Autism, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Physical Disabilities, PMLD and some pupils may display challenging behaviours!

The School are seeking a candidate who is happy to work with pupils of all ages and have experience supporting pupils with a range of needs. Experience supporting pupils who display challenging behaviours is also ideal as some of the pupils may display difficult associated behaviours.

The School has close links to the motorway and is accessible via public transport. The School hours are approximately 8.30am - 3.45pm although some staff members are expected to stay until 4pm.

The candidate MUST be available full time, have experience supporting pupils with SEN, be willing to provide personal care when required and be willing to work with pupils who may display challenging behaviours.

Team Teach trained candidates are favoured but this is not essential.

The rate of pay for this role will be between £54-60 per day.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
