Job description

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a number of SEMH Provision in Scarborough that is currently looking for staff to start as soon as possible. The school cater for secondary pupils that have been excluded from mainstream school, or are at risk of exclusion; therefore the students may have a diagnosis from the following SEN needs:

  • Autism (ASC)
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • ADHD
  • SEMH
  • Behavioural Difficulties

The position will involve working 1:1 or in small groups with the students. The ideal candidate would have previous experience working with similar needs or be passionate about working in this type of school. Candidates that are suited for this type of school tend to have experience, or a Degree, in some of the following area:

  • Criminology
  • Youth/Community work experience
  • SEN experience
  • Residential support/care worker
  • Sports coaching
  • Sports Graduates
  • Team Teach
  • Youth Offending Services
  • Mentoring
  • Teaching/Learning support Assistance
  • Psychology
