Youth worker

A Head Teacher who leads a successful Alternative Provision in Blackburn, East Lancashire is seeking an experienced and hard working Youth Worker. 

The School is Ofsted graded 'Good' and is located centrally in the Blackburn area, with ample on site parking and is accessible via public transport. The School are hoping to appoint a Teaching Assistant with a background in Youth Work and experience supporting pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviours. The School are looking for a full time Teaching Assistant on a long term, possibly permanent basis. The School are looking for a candidate with experience supporting children with additional needs, strong classroom management skills and a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs. 

The candidate must be willing to provide 1:1 and small group intervention for pupils who are struggling academically and/or emotionally. Be empathetic and understanding towards the needs of pupils and be confident yet caring when de-escalating difficult behaviours. 

The staff in School are very supportive and have a strong senior leadership team. 

The successful candidate will benefit from: 

- Negotiable pay rates GBP57 - 67 per day
