Youth Mentor – Secondary School (Chorlton-cum-Hardy)
Start Date: September 2025 | Full-Time | Daily Rate: £89 – £100
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young people? A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Chorlton-cum-Hardy is seeking a dedicated and resilient Youth Mentor to join their pastoral and behaviour support team from September.
This is an ideal role for someone with a background in youth work, coaching, mentoring, or behavioural support, and who is looking to help students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:

Build trusted relationships with students needing additional behavioural, emotional, or social support

Deliver 1:1 and small group mentoring sessions focused on self-esteem, behaviour, and goal-setting
-
Support students with re-engagement in learning and positive school attendance
-
Work closely with the pastoral team, SENCO, and outside agencies
-
Help maintain a calm, respectful and supportive school environment
Ideal Candidate:
-
Experience in youth work, mentoring, or supporting young people with SEMH needs
-
Confident, empathetic, and able to manage challenging behaviours constructively
-
Strong communication skills and a proactive, positive attitude
-
Resilient, adaptable, and passionate about creating change for young people

Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures (training can be provided)

Daily pay: £89 – £100 (depending on experience)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
