Youth Learning Mentor – Pupil Referral Unit - South-West London
Do you have a passion and talent for supporting children and young people who cannot access mainstream education due to their social, emotional and mental health?
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Youth Learning Mentor who is looking to take on a challenging yet rewarding role. This role would involve working 1:1 to support children in Year 11 with SEMH and challenging behaviour needs.
Start date: ASAP or after October Half-Term
Location: Streatham
This is a great opportunity for graduates, those with experience working with children with challenging behaviour or other SEN needs, experienced TAs or Youth Workers. School experience is preferred but is not essential. The school would consider someone without any experience as they offer CPD training.
To be considered for the position of a Youth Learning Mentor with Teaching Personnel, you will:
- Be Passionate about teaching children
- Ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
- Confident with Maths, Science and English to a GCSE level
- Hold or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check- Child only

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
