Are you enthusiastic about supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children & young people?
Do you have experience supporting pupils that can find it difficult to build social & emotional relationships?
With some pupils having spent some time outside of the classroom, there is a massive focus on supporting the mental health of the pupils. We are currently seeking practitioners to support these pupils on a 1:1 basis for the rest of the academic year in a range of schools across Bristol (with an option of progressing onto contract with the right school). As a Youth Mental Health Support Worker, you will be involved in not only supporting pupils within the classroom but will also be comfortable with doing activities with the pupil/s outside of the classroom as well. Alongside the class teacher, you will also provide support with ensuring the right support is in place for the pupil.
This will be on a full time basis and full support & guidance will be given. There will also be opportunities to complete additional training, including Team Teach.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that has experience of supporting pupils in school or residential settings.
The position is due to start immediately after the half term break, so if you would like more information on the opportunity on this opportunity then please contact us today.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
