Primary School Learning Support | £14.30 per hour| Mon–Fri | Flexible Working
Full-time, Part-time & Day-to-Day Roles Available | 8:30am–3:30pm

Schools across Llanelli (Carmarthenshire) are looking for Young Minds Learning Mentors / Teaching Assistants / ALN Support Staff to provide classroom support, 1:1 mentoring, and small‑group interventions.

✨ About the Role
As a Young Minds Learning Mentor, you’ll support pupils academically, socially, and emotionally across a range of primary year groups. No two days look the same, and your presence will make a real impact.
Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include:
- Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom routines
- Providing general classroom support to help lessons run smoothly
- Working 1:1 with pupils who need additional guidance
- Leading small group sessions in literacy, numeracy, social skills or emotional development
- Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils regulate emotions
- Assisting with transitions, breaktimes and lunchtime routines
- Creating a calm, supportive environment for pupils with additional needs
- Building strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
Additional Learning Needs (ALN) You May Support
You’ll work with pupils who may have:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Social, Emotional & Behavioural needs
- Speech, Language & Communication difficulties
- Dyslexia or other specific learning difficulties
- Anxiety, low confidence or emotional regulation challenges
- Global developmental delay
Full guidance and training are provided — you won’t be expected to manage this alone.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
