Teaching Assistant (Year 6) – Primary School, Wythenshawe

Salary: £13.50 – £14.50 per hour
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Year 6 team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about education to make a real difference as pupils prepare for their transition to secondary school.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Working closely with the Year 6 teacher to support learning across the curriculum
  • Assisting in the preparation and delivery of engaging lessons
  • Providing targeted support for individuals and small groups, especially in English and Maths
  • Supporting pupils’ emotional and social development, fostering a positive classroom environment
  • Contributing to assessment and monitoring progress
  • Ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience working with Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
  • Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is enthusiastic, adaptable, and a team player
  • Understands the importance of high expectations and helping children reach their potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
