Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for a Year 6 Teacher to start full-time in January. The school are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has a passion for teaching and fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

About the role:

  • Start-date: 5th January
  • Ongoing/long-term role
  • Opportunity for a permanent contract with the school

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons which prepare students for their SATS as well as the transition into high school. You will regularly assess pupils both formally and informally, providing written and verbal feedback when necessary. Additionally, you will participate and organise extra-curricular activities and residential trips as well as working with other teachers to organise assemblies. This is a crucial transition in the student’s life so the ideal candidate will have a patient, empathetic and calm approach to teaching and behaviour management.

What we’re looking for:

  • QTS in Primary Education
  • Experience teaching KS2 (Year6 experience desirable)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good knowledge of the curriculum and current teaching practices
  • Strong behaviour management

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
