Year 6 Teacher - Milnrow

Are you a strong KS2 teacher with experience teaching Year 6 children? If so, then this may be role for you…

A teacher with excellent behaviour management skills is needed to join this Rochdale (OL16) based school in the new academic year and commit on a full time, long term basis. The position has the potential to become long term for the right candidate.

This 'two-form' entry school wants to appoint a full time teacher in Year 6. This class can be quite challenging and the head teacher is looking for someone who has experience working with SEN and/or children with challenging behaviour. The class is average sized with a catchment of mainly white British heritage children. The School do have a strong and consistent behaviour policy which is used effectively to ensure all the children work to their potential. The School is currently on an upward journey after implementing recent feedback received from Ofsted, such as recruiting additional teaching assistants to help support the needs of the children. In the class there is a full time Teaching Assistant who will also lead interventions when required.

The Ideal Candidate will:

Have QTS
Have experience working with KS2 children, Year 6 in particular
Have strong behaviour management

The school is easily accessible via A663 and A627 and also various public transport links.
