KS2 Teacher Vacancy - mixed Year 5/6 class

• Recent KS2 teaching experience required
• Full-time (5 days per week post)
• A quiet, small, 'Good' graded Primary school

The Head teacher of a small, local Primary School has approached Teaching Personnel seeking an honest, reliable and hard-working KS2 Teacher to join their excellent staffing team. Applicants should have recent experience working in year 6 & have a proven record of improving pupil’s attainment levels, and evidence of consistent good or outstanding observations. Recent experience of supporting pupils through their Year 6 SATS testing would be desirable.

The school is smaller than average, 1 form entry school and has a mixed catchment area. The number of pupils from a deprived background is around average, as is the pupils eligible for free school meals. It is a multi-cultural school with pupils from varying backgrounds. It is a 'Good' graded school as of 2015 and is located in the heart of the small community on the outskirts of Accrington.

The staff are innovative and creative, delivering inspiring lessons relevant to the children’s lives and experiences. They have wonderful children from a diverse range of backgrounds, who love to learn, and participate fully in lessons. Behaviour can be tricky at times, but with the right approach pupils make good progress across all the year groups.
