Position: Year 6 Supply Teacher
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Start Date: As soon as all checks are complete
Contract: Supply (temporary)
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Year 6 Supply Teacher to join our friendly school community in Wellingborough. This is a fantastic opportunity to support our pupils’ learning and contribute positively to their educational journey as they prepare for transition to secondary school. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and ensuring continuity of learning during the teacher’s absence.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality teaching to Year 6 pupils in line with the school curriculum

Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
-
Manage behaviour effectively to promote a positive learning atmosphere
-
Liaise with staff to ensure smooth transition and consistency for pupils
-
Complete any necessary administrative tasks related to the role
Requirements:
-
Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
-
Experience teaching primary-aged children, preferably Year 6
-
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
-
Ability to adapt quickly and work effectively with minimal supervision
-
Enhanced DBS clearance (or willing to undergo checks prior to start)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
