Year 5 Teacher required for a Roman Catholic School

Are you a Teacher experienced working within Year 5? Are you looking to make a real difference in children's learning journeys?

If so a Primary school in the Standish area of Wigan is looking to appoint a Year 5 class teacher to work with their KS2 setting starting as soon as possible. The school is a larger than average school. The school is two form entry, which looks to create an inclusive environment support the needs of both pupils and staff.

A successful applicant should:

  • Have a strong knowledge of the Year 5 national curriculum
  • Be able to demonstrate good practice, ensuring that all pupils are able to make progress
  • Be able to differentiate tasks to ensure that all pupils learning needs are met.
  • Be able to create an inclusive learning environment to ensure that no child is left behind
  • Be able to implement effective behaviour management techniques
  • Be a good communicator and be able to work as part of a team

The school is located a short drive away from the M61 and is looking to appoint someone as soon as possible to continue until summer with the option of going on to contract for the right person

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
