A two form entry Primary School in the heart of Nelson have approached Teaching Personnel in order to appoint a Year 5 class Teacher to take a role up from after the Easter holidays. The Head teacher is keen to move quickly over the next week with this appointment as she is hoping to see three or four candidates for an informal interview as part of the process. You would be planning, delivering and assessing in line with the Year 5 objectives. In the Year 5 class you will have a full time Teaching Assistant who is familiar with the class and the daily routine. There is also a 1:1 support assistant who works with a child with Autism.

The school has a mixed catchment area; mainly children from Asian Heritage backgrounds attend the school, with a small percentage of eastern European pupils. Experience of providing English as an additional language support would be desirable. You would also be expected to contribute to the wider School community such as leading whole school assembly's, attending staff meetings and INSETs.
