You will be responsible for planning, teaching and assessing a class of Year 5 pupils, in accordance with the school's curriculum and the national expectations for the year group. Consequently, recent teaching experience in upper Key Stage 2 is necessary. The proportion of children eligible for support from the pupil premium is more than twice the national average and the number of children who have special educational needs is high. Accordingly, a sensitive attitude towards pupils' individual circumstances is essential, as is a commitment to providing an inclusive learning environment, which caters for the needs of all pupils and enables every child to succeed.
