Year 4 Teaching Assistant - Daventry Primary School

A primary school in Daventry are seeking an outgoing and confident teaching assistant to join their team on an ongoing basis from now till the end of the academic year. For the right candidate there is also the opportunity for a permanent.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be expected to work effectively with both teaching and support staff at all levels as well as with parents/carers, students and external agencies. You will be supporting the class teacher to ensure the pupils are working towards their learning objectives for each subject. To support lower ability pupils and help raise their attainment and learning levels to improve their standards. You will ensure that all safeguarding and pastoral care duties are carried out and adhered to.

The ideal candidate:

* Have experience working in a primary school

* Ability to form good working relationships with students, parents/carers and colleagues

* Have energy, positivity and motivation

* Good oral and written communication skills

* Good organisational and time management skills and the ability to work under pressure

* Adaptability and flexibility in working practices and the ability to know when to use initiative

* A high degree of professionalism in your approach to work and tasks set

* An ability to be a good role model for students and colleagues

* Be able to work collaboratively as part of a team

* See every child as unique

* Aspire to achieve excellence in all they do
